Kim Mahar earned her BFA from the University of Dayton in 1992 and participated in an intensive art history and drawing program abroad through Eastern Michigan University in1993. She worked as a fabricator for an architectural glass artist in Seattle, WA for many years before establishing her own studio, equipped for fusing, stained glass and lampworking. Kim has been both a student and employee of Pilchuck Glass School. She currently teaches at Hilltop, a high school glass arts program, in Tacoma, WA.
